Religious Worker Full Time

Job Purpose:

As the teacher of Qur’anic Memorisation and Recitation at Al Manaar, you will work closely with the Trustees. You will provide rigorous Qur’anic Memorisation and Recitation courses to children and adults. You will need to demonstrate the highest levels of qualification in Qur’anic recital and memorisation from a recognised Islamic Institute of Higher Learning.

Teaching:

You will also have teaching responsibilities of the following:

· Teach Qur’anic Memorisation and Recitation to adults and children at agreed times and days

· Assist in developing & reviewing the curriculum

· Assist in the assessment & evaluation of the various courses

Skills and Qualifications:

· Memorised the Qur’an

· Highest level of expertise in Qir’at from a reputable Islamic institution of higher learning

· Demonstrate a track record of achieving Qur’anic memorisation and Qirat with different age groups

· Evidence minimum two years teaching experience

Administrative:

The organisation needs to account for its actions, ensure its resources are used well, and monitor the service it provides.

The teacher will:

· Maintain adequate records of the services provided.

· Provide regular reports to the Project Manager.

General:

The organisation seeks to set and implement the highest standards and thrives through the ‘added value’ brought by employees and volunteers.

The teacher will:

· Overseeing the care and maintenance of the Masjid Hall and classrooms

· Work flexibly and undertake any other duties agreed between you and the trustees

· Support the fundraising initiatives of the organisation

· Attend staff and management meetings when required

Normal working hours will be agreed with the trustees and may vary.
